Controlled Substances

Use of controlled substances is regulated by federal and state law. You can find Lists of Controlled Substances at the U.S. Department of Justice DEA's web site.

Only those with current state and federal licenses may order and use controlled substances. Any researcher who purchases controlled substances, including hypodermic needles and syringes and prescription drugs, must be licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Public Health (Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 94C, Section 27, and Regulations 105 CMR 700).
