Research: Office of the Vice Provost

Welcome to the Research Compliance web pages. Compliance areas covered include animal welfare, research using human subjects, biosafety regulations and guidelines, and responsible conduct of research (research ethics).  Click on an individual topic in the left side bar for more information.

The compliance staff act as a liaison between Institutional Officials, who have oversight over compliance issues, the various committees that monitor and oversee state and Federally-regulated research activities, and faculty, staff and students who do the research.  Our goal is to provide services that minimize the burden that staying up-to-date with Federal regulations places on researchers.

These pages include policies and procedures, forms, guidelines, training programs, monitoring and accountability, links to useful resources, and answers to frequently-asked questions.

EH&S have put together a useful set of matrices and organizational charts showing roles and responsibilities for research compliance and safety.
