OGCA Coffee Chat - Export Controls (Jennifer Donais)

Date/Time:
04/26/2012, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Increasingly greater attention is being paid by the federal government to what types of data, information, and equipment are being studied and developed at universities. National security concerns have fueled the government’s growing interest in enforcing export restriction and the use of foreign nationals on university research projects.

Coffee Chat - Effort Commitment (TBD)

Date/Time:
04/17/2012, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

What is effort commitment? How should it be budgeted? When can it be used as cost
share? What is minimum effort and the University’s policy on it. Is effort the same as course
buyout? These and other questions will be answered in hopes of clarifying the University’s and
the government’s policies on effort and how to properly budget it in proposals and report on it
under an award.
