 Human Subjects e-Protocol Goes Live

The UMass Amherst Human Research Protection Office (HRPO) is pleased to announce the conversion to a protocol management system called e-Protocol. All future human subject studies seeking IRB approval will be reviewed through this web-based system. Campus researchers are strongly urged to begin using e-Protocol now as the current paper submission process will no longer be in place after February 1, 2009.

In order to access e-Protocol, please contact the HRPO and provide the following information: Name, Department, Title, e-mail and NETID. (Note your NETID is the login that you would use when checking your e-mail through UMAIL). Instructions on accessing e-Protocol will be sent to you with your login and password information.

NOTE: Human subjects review done by local boards will not be submitted through e-Protocol at this time.

Please contact Nancy Swett (413) 545-3428, for more information and for login and password access.
