Anglo-Norman Dictionary The first edition online.
ATLA Religion Database Essential tool for the study of religion and premier index to journal articles, book reviews, and collections of essays in all fields of religion.
Bibliography of the History of Art Most comprehensive art bibliography available worldwide, covering European and American visual arts from late antiquity to the present; indexes and abstracts art-related books, conference proceedings and dissertations, exhibition and dealers' catalogs, and articles from over 4,300 periodicals.
Early English Books Online (EEBO) From 1475 to 1700, this collection now contains about 100,000 of over 125,000 titles listed in Pollard & Redgrave's Short-Title Catalogue (1475-1640) and Wing's Short-Title Catalogue (1641-1700) and their revised editions, as well as the Thomason Tracts (1640-1661) collection and the Early English Books Tract Supplement ("small items such as broadsides and pamphlets...collected into 'scrapbooks,' or tract volumes, classified by various criteria such as dates or topics"). EEBO provides citations and page images for ca. 100,000 complete texts. In addition, ca. 25,000 texts have been coded using Standard Generalized Markup Language in order to make them searchable word- by-word as well as to display both the coded text and the corresponding original page images.
NEW! English Short Title Catalog A searchable bibliography of over 460,000 books, serials, pamphlets, and ephemera printed in the English language (primarily from England, North America, and countries under British colonial rule) between 1473 and 1800; freely hosted by the British Library.
Grove Art Online Dictionary of the visual arts from prehistory to the present day with articles on fine arts, decorative arts, and architecture; over 130,000 art images.
Grove Music Online Articles on people, places, instruments, and techniques, genres and styles with links to images, sound, and other related web sites. (Also available in print [The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians] in the Cheney Room.)
Historical Abstracts Annotated bibliography of the history of the world (excluding the United States and Canada) from 1450 to the present.
Index Islamicus Indexes literature on Islam, the Middle East, and the Muslim world.
International Medieval Bibliography Covers the European Middle Ages (ca. 400-1500) and indexes journal, conference proceedings, and collections or Festschriften worldwide.
Iter Bibliography of articles, essays, books, dissertations abstracts, and reviews of interest to scholars of the Middle Ages and Renaissance (400-1700).
Library of Latin Texts Eventually to contain all patristic and medieval texts covering authors from the second to the fifteenth century; includes works from the Corpus christianorum, the Bibliotheca scriptorum Romanorum Teubneriana, the Corpus scriptorum ecclesiasticorum latinorum, Migne's Patrologia, and the Acta Sanctorum, among others.
