John Milton with Stanley Koehler, Mon., 5-7 p.m. March 3, 10, 24, and 31. Reading and discussing the works of John Milton. No prior knowledge necessary

The Basics of Ancient Greek with Joel Tansey, Tuesdays 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., April 8, 15, 22, and 29. For those with little to no Greek, learn to pronounce, write and transliterate Greek, use a dictionary, and consult the Loeb Classical Library. Newcomers are welcome; please come 15 minutes early.

Shakespeare with Normand Berlin, Tuesdays 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., April 1, 8, 15, and 22. We will discuss two late tragedies, Macbeth and Antony and Cleopatra, each a “tragedy” but each producing a different tragic effect. We’ll attempt to discover why. Two sessions on Macbeth, two on Antony and Cleopatra.
