Baldwin and Zhao receive valuable awards to carry out their dissertation research

Su Baldwin has been selected by the faculty in the Center for Educational Assessment to receive the 2006-2007 Psychometric Fellowship. This Fellowship was established in 1991 by an anonymous graduate of the program to recognize an outstanding student. Su is entering her third year, and the Fellowship will provide financial support to allow her to pursue research that she is interested in including her dissertation research. Su spent her summer working with the National Board of Medical Examiners in Philadelphia on an internship.

Yue Zhao has been selected to receive the 2006 Joe E. Covington Award for Research on Bar Admissions Testing. The National Conference of Bar Examiners has made the award to support her dissertation research on statistical methods for improving the reporting of diagnostic test scores on credentialing exams. Yue is entering the fourth year of her doctoral program and spent her 2006 summer at Educational Testing Service in Princeton, New Jersey, on an internship.

Congratulations, Su and Yue!
