- Kyung T. Han (UMass Ed.D., 2008) has been namesd the 2012 recipent of the Alicia Cascallar Award an Outstanding Paper by an Early Career Scholar, given by the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME).
- Kristen Huff (UMass Ed.D., 2003) has accepted a new position with the New York State Board of Regents as Senior Fellow in Assessment to advise on Race to the Top and the PARCC Consortium.
- At the recent conference of the Northeastern Educational Research Association (NERA), the five PMESRM graduates from 2003 spoke at a panel session organized by the NERA Gradaute Student Issues Committee (GSIC), providing advice on different career paths. The panelists included Kristen Huff (Ed.D., 2003), Michael Jodoin (Ph.D., 2003), Lisa Keller (Ed.D., 2003), Mary Pitoniak (Ph.D., 2003), and Mary Zanetti (Ed.D., 2003). The session was moderated by April Zenisky (Ed.D., 2004).
- Linda Cook (UMass Ed.D., 1979) retired from Educational Testing Service (ETS) on September 27, 2010. More information can be found here.
- Yue Zhao (UMass Ed.D., 2008) is working for The University of Hong Kong as Project Manager.
- Charlene Gower Tucker (UMass Ed.D., 1991) is now SCASS Advisor for the Council of Chief State School Officers in Washington, D.C.
- Anil Kanjee (UMass Ed.D., 1994) has recently accepted a position as Professor of Education Studies at Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria, South Africa.
- Jeffrey B. Hauger (UMass Ed.D., 2007) is now Director of Student Learning Assessments for the New Jersey Department of Education.
- Linda D. Cook (UMass Ed.D., 1979) has recently been elected President-Elect of the National Council on Measurement in Education.
- Lisa Keller (UMass Ed.D., 2002) has been selected to attend the AERA Statistics Institute for Faculty.
- William Skorupski (UMass Ed.D., 2004) was recently awarded tenure at the University of Kansas, where he has been assistant professor in the School of Education's Department of Psychology and Research in Education (PRE). Skorupski also recently qualified for and competed in the 2010 Boston Marathon, held in April 2010.
- Mary Pitoniak (UMass Ph.D., 2003) received a major promotion at Educational Testing Service in Princeton, NJ.
- Michael Jodoin (UMass Ph.D., 2003) is Associate Vice President, Scoring Services at National Board of Medical Examiners.
- Frank Stetz (UMass Ed.D., 1975) passed away in January 2009. More information about his passing is available here.
