CEA News: The Center for Educational Assessment Provides Comments to the USDOE on the Peer Review Process
In 2013, the Center for Educational Assessment provided comments to the United States Department of Education in response to a request from the Department, looking for input on improving the peer review process for tests to ensure that each statewide assessment enables valid and reliable inferences to be drawn about student performance.
The comments from THE CEA broadly addessed issues around models or best practices in conducting peer reviews that are applicable and practical for
state assessment systems, and the types of types of evidence that states can and should provide to demonstrate that its system meets the elements of a high-quality assessment system.
