Upcoming Seminar: Craig Mills to speak at UMass
On Monday, February 13, 2012, Dr. Craig N. Mills of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants will be coming to UMass to speak. His talk will take place in 151 HIlls South.
Dr. MIlls is currently is the Vice President of Examinations at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). In this role, Mills has primary responsibility for the computerized version of the Uniform CPA Examination, which officially launched in 2004. The project to computerize the CPA Examination is notable in its groundbreaking work with regard to disciplined item development; introduction of computerized multi-stage testing in an operational test; incorporation of novel, technology-based assessments into assessments; and a number of other content and psychometric advances. Dr. Mills received his doctorate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1982.
