REMP Seminar: Nebraska's Kurt Geisinger to Speak
On Thursday, March 4, 2010, Dr. Kurt Geisinger, Director of Buros Center for Testing and W.C. Meierhenry Distinguished Professor of Educational Psychology of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will speak to REMP faculty and students. Dr. Geisinger's talk is entitled "Paradigm Paradoxes in Validity Theory".
Dr. Geisinger received his M.S. from the University of Georgia and his Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University. At present, he is Director of the Buros Center for Testing and W. C. Meierhenry Distinguished University Professor of Educational Psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He is also Editor of Applied Measurement in Education, and past editor or co-editor of Psychological Testing of Hispanics and Test Interpretation and Diversity, both APA books. Dr. Geisinger's research interests include validity theory, test fairness, admissions, testing, proper use of tests, use of tests for individuals with disabilities, testing of language minorities, and translation or adaptation of tests from one language and culture to another.
