Amanda L. Ryan received her Ph.D. in School Psychology in 2004, from
the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She also completed her M.Ed. at UMass
and BA in psychology at Keene State College in Keene, New Hampshire. Amanda has
worked in K-12 school settings since 1996, assisting teachers to meet the needs
of students in both general and special education. Since 2005, Dr. Ryan has
worked with schools to institute systems change initiatives such as developing a
School-wide Reading Improvement Model and School-wide Positive Behavior Support.
Through on-site consultation and professional development trainings, Amanda has
delivered the content and support to help educators throughout New England
utilize best practices in data based decision-making. Her research interests
include linking assessment and intervention practices in early literacy and
reading, as well as social emotional behavior. Dr. Ryan has taught graduate
level courses on data based decision-making through Fitchburg State College and
an on-line graduate course on positive behavior support through Adams State
College in Boulder, CO.
