Hindu Resources at UMass Amherst

There are no private Hindu organizations or professional advisers on campus, and at present there are no specifically Hindu student organizations—although you could start one!! (We would be happy to help you; just give us a call.)

However, the director of the Asian Arts & Culture Program, Ranjanaa Devi, has kindly offered to serve as a contact for Hindu students. She teaches courses on Hindu temple dance and ritual through the Five-College dance program and is extremely knowledgeable about Hinduism and the cultures of Southern Asia. She is also a warm and generous spirit, so please do not hesitate to contact Ranjanaa Devi by email or phone (413) 545-1980.
