Interfaith Community Service

Habitat for HumanityThe Office of Religious and Spiritual Life partners with Habitat for Humanity and an array of religious groups to create opportunities for students to engage in community service with people from diverse religious/spiritual backgrounds and beliefs.

Our interfaith community service projects include volunteer work at a local Habitat for a Humanity building site, with opportunities for students to get to know each other, and participate in interfaith dialogue.

Want to get involved?
Interfaith Community Service and Dialogue events are typically scheduled every semester.

  • We meet on campus for a light breakfast and introductions.
  • Then we drive together to a community partner site for approximately 4 hours of volunteer work. All transportation is provided.
  • Afterward, we return to campus together for a light dinner and facilitated interfaith dialogue

No experience or special skills are required, and you don’t need to be “religious.” All that’s required is a big heart, an open mind, and a commitment to show up (on time!) and stay through the end.
