Active students with current access to SPIRE:
If you have current access to SPIRE then an unofficial transcript can be obtained through SPIRE by following these steps:
- Log into SPIRE and click on the Academics tile.
- Choose Transcript Request under the General Academic Info section.
- Under “Unofficial Transcript”, click "View Unofficial Transcript".
- You can now view or print your unofficial transcript.
Note: course repeat codes are available on the unofficial transcript. If you view your unofficial transcript online, you can click on the repeat codes and it will take you to the Explanation of Repeat Codes page of our website. Additionally, the unofficial transcript will display a transfer summary that includes all tests, transfer and other credit awarded on the last page of each career.
Alumni and former students who previously used SPIRE:
If you don’t know your SPIRE ID or Password, use these instructions (Alumni, Inactive Students section) to retrieve your credentials and then follow the above instructions to obtain your unofficial transcript. If you have any questions about obtaining the “SPIRE Logon Essentials” don’t hesitate to call IT Help Center at 413-545-9400 or email IT@Umass.edu.
Alumni and former students who never used SPIRE:
We cannot provide you with an unofficial transcript. Please order an official electronic transcript through our automated transcript delivery service.
