Academic Scheduling
The Academic Scheduling Office is responsible for the scheduling and
maintenance of all University classrooms.
Resource25
Resource25
is the simple online tool supplied by Academic Scheduling to department
representatives for room scheduling requests (other than classes and
final exams). A valid user account and password are required to use
Resource25. If you do not have an account already, or if you are new to
the classroom scheduling process, contact the
Academic Scheduling office for assistance. We offer a one-hour
information session on Resource25 several times a year or by request,
and there are also temporary options that you can use until the next
training session is offered.
Below are links to the three forms used for scheduling new classes, as
well as changing and/or cancelling existing classes:
To report a problem with the physical aspects (furniture, blackboards,
etc.) or with the climate of a University classroom, please contact the
Academic Scheduling Office and we will alert the appropriate service
support staff.
Scheduling a New Course
If you wish to offer a new, permanent course, your first step should be
the Faculty
Senate.
Five College Registration
In addition, Academic Scheduling works with the Registration area to facilitate
UMass student registrations in the Five College System. University
students who are interested in registering for classes at Amherst
College, Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke, or Smith College can obtain
the proper registration materials and information from the Five College
Interchange Office located in 614 Goodell Building. The Interchange
Office will forward the completed registration forms, or direct
students (during the Add/Drop period), to the Academic Scheduling
Office for Processing.
Please contact the host school with any questions regarding specific
course content, meeting time, or instructor information.
The Five College
Course Catalog combines course schedule info from Amherst College,
Hampshire College, Mount Holyoke, and Smith College, as well as UMass. |
