| ASPHALT, BRICK AND CONCRETE
|
Keep sorted as much as possible | Deliver to WRTF and ask for appropriate storage bunker. |
| BATTERIES
|
Appliance and electronics batteries: NO ALKALINES - DISPOSE IN TRASH | Deliver or send to WRTF via campus mail, marked "batteries for recycling" |
| Auto/marine/emergency lighting Batteries: | Deliver to WRTF or call for pickup | |
| BOOKS
|
Hardcover: | Deliver to WRTF or call for pickup |
| Softcover: | If small quantity, place in Ssingle Stream bin. If large quantity, deliver to WRTF or call for pickup | |
| CLOTHES

Clothes, shoes, hats, accessories: | Deliver to WRTF. |
| ELECTRONICS
|
Computer systems, electronic measuring instruments or A/V equipment: | Deliver to WRTF or call for pickup; must be accompanied by Surplus Equipment Disposal Form. |
| FOOD
|
Canned or dry goods: | OWM and Housing Services runs special fall and spring dorm collections at moveout time.Drop-off anytime at WRTF. |
| FLUORESCENT TUBES
|
Straight, circular, U-tubes, HIDs and compacts | Goes to WRTF in original box with the cushioning material removed. Custodial or electrical shop handles collection. |
| FURNITURE
|
Depending on quality and composition, may go to (a) surplus property barn, (b) recycling or (c) disposal. |
Deliver to WRTF or call for pickup. Must provide a completed Surplus Equipment Disposal Form if we are picking up.. |
| METAL SCRAP
|

| PAINT, STAIN, LACQUERS, VARNISH ETC.

Only sealed non-leaking containers. Empty paint cans (<1" in bottom) may go in scrap metal roll-off. | Deliver to WRTF or call to schedule a pickup |
| PALLETS/WOOD WASTE

Separate pallets/clean wood from treated, painted, stained, pressure-treated, creosoted/laminated woods. | Deliver to WRTF or call for pickup |
| PROPANE / REFRIGERANT TANKS

After proper preparation (see next column) may be placed in metal bin. | Call EH&S at 5-2682 to have cores removed before delivery to WRTF. |
| REFRIGERATION UNITS
|
Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and water fountains for scrap metal recycling. | Prepare Surplus Equipment Disposal Form & call 5-2704 to arrange pickup. The WRTF requires a refrigerant reclamation sticker. |
| STYROFOAM PEANUTS
|
May be recycled at special collection locations (Morrill, Chenoweth, GRC). Must be bagged or boxed | Deliver to WRTF or call to find out about special pick-ups for large quantities. Also, contact local Mailboxes Etc. for drop-off and re-use. |
| TAPES, CDs AND DISKETTES

DVDS, CDs and jewel cases. | Mail to WRTF via campus mail. Please mark "CDS for recycling." For large quantities call for pickup. |
| TIRES, SCRAP
|
Used car and truck tires (tires off rims) for recycling or energy recovery. | Deliver to WRTF or call for a pick-up. Only sources should be Fleet Services, Transit and Housing Services. |
| TONER CARTRIDGES
|
For recycling and re-use. | May be sent to WRTF via campus mail. Please mark "toner cartridge to recycle." |
