Public Health & Wellness RAP - Fall 2008

If you are interested in personal, community, and global health-related issues, this RAP is a great choice for you.

Students who join the Public Health & Wellness RAP will explore socially important challenges in our complex world, challenges ranging from preventing epidemics, responding to natural disasters, investigating community health hazards, and preventing the spread of disease.

Gaining an awareness of public and personal health issues is at the core of this RAP. Public Health & Wellness RAP is designed for 30 first-year students—with or without a science background.

When you join this RAP you will…


Classes

In the Fall semester, students will enroll in the following classes,

  • Sociology 106 – Race, Gender, Class and Ethnicity - small lecture or discussion in the residential area
  • Public Health 160 - My Body My Health - lecture class on the main campus and discussion section in the residential area. (SI Gen. Ed. requirement).
  • English Writing 112 – College Writing in the residential area - available both Fall and Spring semesters
