- English Writing 112 – College Writing in the residential area
This section of Astronomy 103 will be led by expert UMass faculty and advanced graduate students. During the course students will use the Orchard Hill Observatory to make weekly observations of the moon, planets, stars, and other celestial objects. When outdoor conditions are not favorable, students will have the chance to work on indoor projects and experiments. In addition to the Orchard Hill Observatory, students in this RAP will also get more individual, hands-on experience using several new mid-sized telescopes. Through engagement with seminar leaders, students have the chance discuss and pursue their academic and/or career goals.
