RAPs for Undeclared Students

Focus RAPs are designed for first-year students who have not yet declared a major. In addition to the benefit of living with students in their classes, students work closely with their advisor to explore various academic majors and determine how to best match the options with their interests and abilities.

Focus Connections RAP
• For students who are entering UMass with an interest in learning
about the array of majors available
• Discover how to match your strengths, interests and goals with the
various majors
• Includes OASIS First-Year Seminar, a small class in the residential
area, College Writing in the fall semester and optional seats in classes on the main campus

Focus Enterprise RAP
• For undeclared students with an interest in a business related
major or career.
• Discover the various options at UMass Amherst to pursue your
academic and career goals.
 • Includes OASIS First-Year Seminar,a small class or discussion
section in the residential area, College Writing in the fall semester and optional seats in classes on the main campus
• Spring RAP classes available
