Social Justice RAP

Description

Social Justice RAP is designed for students with a desire to focus on concepts of social change and their relevance to current issues at UMass and in the world at-large. Students with or without a declared major can choose this RAP and enroll in common classes that explore themes of social justice and offer contending and complimentary perspectives on various issues.

Social Justice RAP is an interdisciplinary program that encourages students to take classes in the following areas: Afro-American Studies, Labor Studies, Latin-American Studies , Women's Studies, and Social Thought and Political Economy.

Students who choose a Social Justice RAP will share their living-and-learning experience with a community of peers who appreciate critical analysis and wish to create positive social change. Students will enroll in College Writing 112, a small General Education class and a program seminar together.
