Engineering Majors RAP
Exciting new changes for Engineering Majors for Fall 2007!
For the first time, we will be opening one of our Residential Academic Programs to any and all students who have been admitted to the University of Massachusetts at Amherst as Engineering Majors.The Engineering Majors RAP offers its students ALL the academic programming and opportunities which were previously made available to the limited number of students invited to join Engineering TAP (Talent Advancement Program).
The Engineering Majors RAP is offered to groups of 24 first-year students in three different locations. These groups of students will live together in either Dickinson Hall in Orchard Hill area of campus or in Crabtree or Leach Halls in the Northeast area of campus. Students will enroll in common courses of Calculus 1 (Math 131) and College Writing 112. (CW 112 will be taught in the residential area.)We hope that all our incoming Engineering majors will give serious consideration to this wonderful opportunity.
