Communication Majors RAP
Exciting new changes for Communication Majors for Fall 2007!
For the first time, we will be opening one of our Residential Academic Programs to any and all students who have been admitted to the University of Massachusetts at Amherst as Communication Majors. The Communication Majors RAP offers its students ALL the academic programming and opportunities which were previously made available to the limited number of students invited to join Communication TAP (Talent Advancement Program).
The Communication Majors RAP is designed for 24 first-year students. This group of students will live in the Pierpont/Moore Low Rise cluster in the Southwest area of campus. Students will have the option to live with other students in the Communication Majors RAP or with other students living in Pierpont/Moore cluster. In the Fall semester, students will enroll in a small section of Introduction to Interpersonal Communication (COMM 118) as well as a departmental Seminar, (COMM 191S), and College Writing 112, all taught in the residential area. In the Spring semester, students will enroll in Introduction to Media & Culture (COMM 121).We hope that all our incoming Communication majors will give serious consideration to this wonderful opportunity.
