Roger Storozuk Sr.

Roger Storozuk Sr., 84, of Sunderland, a retired Dining Hall supervisor, died Jan. 20 in Bay-state Medical Center in Springfield.

He served the University for 21 and a half years before retiring in 1984.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of both World War II and the Korean War.
A member of Holy Spirit Ukranian Catholic Church in South Deerfield, he served on many committees there.

He also enjoyed gardening.

He leaves his wife, Laurette Storozuk; a son, Roger Storozuk Jr. of South Deerfield; a daughter, Brenda Milewski of Belchertown; and other family.

Frances E. Sudnick

Frances Evelyn Sudnick, 67, of St. George, Utah, a former principal clerk in Food and Resources Economics, died Jan. 11.

She served the University for 11 years before leaving in 1980.

Her career also included work at the Travelers Insurance Company in Hartford, Conn., Hartwick College in New York, Golden State University in California, and St. Mary's Catholic School in Escondido, Calif.

A volunteer at a local thrift store and senior games, she belonged to the Elk and Friends Bowling League in St. George and was active in the California State Women's 600 Bowling Club and the Women's International Bowling Congress.

She held a bachelor's degree from Golden State University.

She leaves her son, Douglas E. Sudnick of Springfield; her mother, Mary Knight, of West Hartford, Conn.; and other family.

Rosa G. Dinsmore

Rosa G. Dinsmore, 78, of Northfield, a former clerical assistant in 4-H and in Civil Engineering and a junior clerk typist, died Jan. 18 in Franklin Medical Center.

She served the University for three and a half years before leaving in 1972.

In addition to her tenure at UMass, she served in the export office of the former Greenfield Tap and Die, at the Franklin County Trust Company, as a nurses aide at Franklin County Public Hospital, now Franklin Medical Center, where she also was a Spanish interpreter and secretary to the administrator.

She later became a long-term substitute Spanish teacher at Greenfield High School and a tutor at Mohawk Trail Regional High School.

She was a hospice volunteer and a peer counselor, a skilled pianist and a member of the Pioneer Valley Symphony Chorus, as well as other choirs. She also was a vocal soloist at various Greenfield churches and a performer at area nursing homes and senior centers.

She was a member of the Bahai Faith.

She leaves her husband of 55 years, James J. Dinsmore; a daughter, Pamela Dinsmore Bistrek; a son, Christopher of South Paris, Me.; two brothers, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
