Obituaries

Dorothy Cleveland

Dorothy "Dolly" Cleveland, 70, of Amherst, a retired telephone operator died Nov. 14 at home with her family by her side.

She served the University for nearly 31 years before retiring in 1997. She also worked as a telephone operator for the Town of Amherst.

A graduate of Amherst High School, she enjoyed bird watching and crossword puzzles.

Her husband, Earl B. Cleveland, died in 1994.

She leaves three sons, Earl B. of Leverett, Bruce and Mark, both of Amherst; four daughters, Mary Osborne of Amherst, Cheryl Tidlund of Shutesbury, Lynn Raskevitz, maintenance working foreman in Housing Services, of Amherst and Julie Carantit of Charlemont; two brothers and other family members.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Amherst Fire Department, P.O. Box 654, Amherst 01004-0654.

Celia H. Bussiere

Celia H. Bussiere, 87, of Hadley, a retired Institutional Domestic Worker in the Dining Commons, died Nov. 14 at St. Vincent's Hospital at Worcester Medical Center.

She served the University for 18 years before retiring in 1980.
She attended Hadley schools and was a communicant of Most Holy Redeemer Church in Hadley.

Her husband, Dolor Bussiere, died in 1990.

She leaves two sons, Raymond of Thornton, Colo., and Thomas of Centennial, Colo.; three daughters, Constance Niedielski of West Springfield, Dolores Berestka of Princeton and Jacqueline of West Exeter, N.Y.; and other family.
