Development staff changes announced
everal
staffing changes have occurred in the Development Office in recent
weeks.
David Markland, who formerly served as senior financial analyst
in the Budget Office, is the new director of Information and Donor
Services. Markland has more than 16 years of experience in accounting
processes and procedures. He served on Development's internal Continuous
Quality Improvement (CQI) team involved in the process redesign
of records and gift processing. He also has done extensive work
with the PeopleSoft implementation and is expected to be a major
player in Development's database conversion.
Rachel Koziol, who was
assistant director for Membership in the Office of Alumni Relations,
moved to Development as a gift administrator in Records and Gift
Processing. Also at Records and Gift Processing, Lisa Prouty has
been hired as a clerk III. For the past year, Prouty was an 03 staffer
in the department.
Laurie Whitaker was
recently promoted from researcher to senior researcher. She joined
the Development staff in December 2000 after working at the UMass
Medical School in Worcester.
Meanwhile, Steve
Tanne, director of Development in the College of Natural Sciences
and Mathematics, resigned to become vice president for development
at Baystate Health Systems and the executive director of Baystate
Health Foundation.
