Clarification issued on flex child care

he administration and the Graduate Employee Organization this week issued a joint statement on the future of flexible schedule child care services on campus.

     The statement says, "Since the announcement by the University ... that it will be closing some of its full-day child care classrooms, there has been some confusion about the future of the two flexible schedule classrooms. The flexible schedule classrooms will continue to operate through the 2003-04 academic year, as provided by the Graduate Employee Organization (GEO) contract. Their operation beyond that time period will be dependent upon the results of collective bargaining between the University and GEO. We regret any confusion that may have resulted from earlier announcements."
