Senate to weigh childcare issue

The Faculty Senate is scheduled to receive a special report from the Status of Women Council regarding a proposal to oppose the decision to eliminate University Child Care and a progress report when it meets April 11 at 3:30 in 227 Herter.

     A special report on the proposal for a new minor in Engineering Management and an oral progress report on the provost's steering committee on Program Assessment, Strategic Directions and Resource Allocations also are scheduled for the meeting.

     The Rules Committee will present a special motion to endorse the Save UMass rally planned for April 25 at the State House.
