Marsh-Williams takes on dual role
as Pyle shifts efforts to PeopleSoft

With the PeopleSoft Student Information System project moving into the final phases of implementation, two Academic Affairs administrators have assumed new duties, according to an Oct. 10 memo from vice provost Norm Aitken and deputy provost John Cunningham.

Elizabeth Pyle

For approximately the next 18 months, undergraduate registrar Elizabeth Pyle will work exclusively on Registrar-related functions within the PeopleSoft system. Pyle leads the student records team on the project and will continue to work closely with her staff and those at the Graduate School, Continuing Education and Academic Affairs, says the memo.

Pyle has moved to an office on the first floor of Whitmore.

While Pyle is reassigned, Pamela Marsh-Williams, associate dean at the Undergraduate Advising and Academic Support Center (UAASC), is also overseeing the day-to-day management of the Undergraduate Registrar's Office and representing both units on committees such as the Academic Matters Council and General Education Council. She is also handling matters which require a response from the registrar. She is working part-time in Whitmore.

Marsh-Williams can be contacted on UAASC issues at her Goodell office (5-6493) or by e-mail (marshwil@acad.umass.edu). Those who need to contact her on Registrar's Office matters should call 5-4630 or via a separate e-mail address (pmarshwil@ registrar.umass.edu).

The changes "are planned to end approximately one full semester after the 'go-live' of Registrar functions within the PeopleSoft student system," according to the memo.
