Campus rated 'great school at a great price'
U.S. News & World Report has ranked the campus in the top 50 nationwide in a listing called "Great Schools at Great Prices." The University was tied for No. 46 in the category with Brandeis, the University of Miami and Vanderbilt. The California Institute of Technology topped the list.

First security camera activated in Southwest; safety improvements made during the summer
As part of a pilot project to use video cameras to enhance campus safety, a security camera has been installed on the exterior of one of the residence halls in the Southwest Residence Area. According to Javier Cevallos, interim vice chancellor for Student Affairs, the exact location of the camera is not being disclosed.

Commonwealth College welcomes 525 new students
The newest recruits to Commonwealth College were encouraged to make the most of their academic experience as the honors program welcomed its incoming class and their parents at a Sept. 1 ceremony in the Mullins Center. The program was followed by a student orientation.

Community members gather for annual breakfast
Before the parking spaces and summer quiet disappeared, local officials, business representatives and academic leaders took some time last week to reflect on the ties that bind their worlds together.

Enrollment Services displays multicultural student artwork as part of a new office design
Enrollment Services has a new look this year thanks in large part to student artwork. The office now sports the efforts of a multicultural mix of junior and senior Art majors.
