Honors college dean field down to 5

     Five candidates for the position of dean of Commonwealth College are scheduled to participate in open meetings with faculty and staff over the four weeks following Spring Break.

     Among the five is Environmental Health Sciences professor Linda Nolan, the interim dean of the honors college. The other candidates include honors program officials from the University of Missouri, New Mexico State University, State University of New York-Stony Brook and the University of South Carolina.

     The schedule of the open meetings is as follows:

     Stuart Palonsky, director of the Honors College, University of Missouri-Columbia, Monday, March 20, 2:30-3:30 p.m., 101 Lincoln Campus Center.

     William Eamon, director of the University Honors Program at New Mexico State University, Monday, March 27, 2:30-3:30 p.m., 101 Campus Center.

     Linda Nolan, interim dean, Commonwealth College, Monday, April 3, 2:30-3:30 p.m., 917 Campus Center.

     Ruth Schwartz Cowan, chair, Honors College, SUNY-Stony Brook, Thursday, April 6, 2:30-3:30 p.m., 917 Campus Center.

     Peter Sederberg, dean, South Carolina Honors College, University of South Carolina, Thursday, April 13, 2:30-3:30 p.m., 101 Campus Center.
