Candidate Forum on Public Higher Education (Amherst)

PHENOM, The Public Higher Education Network of Massachusetts, the Massachusetts Society of Professors, and the Center for Education Policy and Advocacy will host the forum with the Candidates for State Representative in the Third Hampshire District.

CALL FOR BOSTON NOMINATIONS! MTA Annual Meeting of Delegates 2016

The Boston Chapter of the PSU is seeking nominations from members who would like to be delegates to the MTA Annual Meeting of Delegates.  Please read below for details about how to submit your name if you are interested. Attending the Annual Meeting gives the attendee great insight into the way the MTA works, and this year delegates will elect a new President and Vice-President to the MTA.  If you are interested in attending, please nominate yourself. If you think one of your co-workers would make a great delegate, please encourage them to nominate themselves!


Boston: PSU Members invited for Pizza to discuss the PMP

The Boston Chapter of the PSU will be holding lunch meetings in eight buildings across the Boston campus this January to discuss the Performance Management Program (PMP) evaluation process. PSU-Boston will provide pizza.

PSU members at Boston should receive an invitation to the meeting for the building where they work. If you are unable to attend at that time, we strongly encourage you to attend one of the other meetings.  


UMass Boston Faculty and Staff Asking Trustees to Roll Back Fees

Members of three unions representing faculty and staff on the University of Massachusetts Boston campus will be standing in solidarity with students and asking the UMass Board of Trustees at its meeting on Wednesday, Sept. 16, to roll back recently approved increases in student fees. At UMass Boston, those fees were boosted 8 percent for graduate students and 6 percent for undergraduates.
