UMass Faculty Staff Assistance Program

All PSU Members:

The SAP committee is looking for people who are interested in being a
SAP steward. A SAP steward's role is to help members who are
interested in getting an off-cycle review and/or equity review.
Stewards also provide an understanding of promotions and lateral
transfers and any related pay increases as stipulated in the contract
and conveyed in the SAP booklet (http://www.umass.edu/humres/library/SEIUPSSAP.pdf). As a SAP steward you would be trained on SAP policy and procedures to become "mini"
experts in SAP administration.

Essentially stewards help other PSU
members with their documentation for a review and if necessary, any
appeals that may follow. If you have had some SAP experience through
your own position involving personnel actions or have personal
experience with off-cycle or equity review/or success, you would be an
ideal candidate to become a SAP steward.

If you are interested in becoming a SAP steward - please contact Wendy
Matys matys@soc.umass.edu or Desiree Roff droff@registrar.umass.edu and
us them know.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
