“These proposals are put forth in coalition with all other MTA higher education locals.

Salary

We propose that salaries for all unit members will increase by a true cost of living adjustment prior to any consideration of additional merit increases.

Tuition and Fee Benefits

We propose that tuition and fees be waived for PSUMTA unit members, their spouses and their dependents, for regular and continuing education courses, for all colleges and universities in the Massachusetts public higher education system.

We propose that the University join the national tuition exchange program.

Health and Welfare Benefits

We propose a substantial increase in the contribution to the health and welfare fund sufficient to improve the health and welfare benefits for our members.”
