1. Our rules of procedure (remember that online debate about
Robert's Rules?-I've attached a message from Jack with some
alternatives);
2. Standing JEC meetings
3. Bargaining strategy, including recent discussions about
assembling our team, building CATs, planning for the HELC retreat, etc.;
this is also where Maura can report on the successful execution and
funding of our contract;
4. Financial reports, including a budget report, the accountant's
report, a report on our audit, determination of agency fee;
5. Budget and dues issues, focusing on Local and Chapter budgets
and dues;
6. Authority of chapter boards in political endorsements (issues,
candidates, etc.);
7. Joining Afl-CIO Central Labor Councils;
8. Employee benefit package (this can wait, but it needs to stay on
our agenda);
9. The NEA regional leadership conference;
10. A discussion with Frances, our Executive Board rep, to include
both a report from her and some ideas from us about issues we want
brought to the Board's attention;
11. Possible arbitrations needing approval;
12. Planning a JEC retreat
