    Rutgers University professor Benjamin Justice, a finalist for dean of the College of Education, will make a public presentation on Monday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. in 102 Furcolo Hall.

    University of Miami professor Laura P. Kohn-Wood, a finalist for dean of the College of Education, will make a public presentation on Monday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. in 102 Furcolo Hall.

    Tricia Serio, head of the department of molecular and cellular biology at the University of Arizona and a finalist for dean of the College of Natural Sciences, will make a public presentation on Monday, Nov. 7 at 4:30 p.m. in S330 Life Sciences Laboratories.

    A. Lin Goodwin, a finalist for the Dean of the College of Education, will make a public presentation on Friday, November 4 at 2:45pm in 101 Furcolo Hall.   Goodwin is a vice dean and professor in the department of curriculum and teaching at Teachers College, Columbia University.

    Two more finalists for dean of the College of Natural Sciences will make public presentations in the coming week. The schedule is as follows:

    Peter Wainwright, interim dean of the College of Biological Sciences and distinguished professor at the University of California, Davis; Monday, Oct. 31 at 4:30 p.m. in S330 Life Sciences Laboratories (LSL).

    Farshid Hajir, professor and head of the department of mathematics and statistics; Thursday, Nov. 3 at 4:30 p.m. in S330 LSL.

    Cynthia I. Gerstl-Pepin, a finalist for dean of the College of Education, will make a public presentation on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at 2:45 p.m. in 101 Furcolo Hall.Gerstl-Pepin is currently associate dean for academic affairs and research at the College of Education and Social Services at the University of Vermont.Robert Feldman is the interim dean of the College of Education. The search for a permanent dean is chaired by John Hird, dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences.

    Search Committees for the Deans of the Colllege of Natural Sciences, the College of Education and the College of Information and Computer Sciences, have been diligently working with search firms to find a new Dean for each of the Colleges.  The search committee for CNS, co-chaired by Deans Marjorie Aelion and Tim Anderson, will begin bringing in finalists the week of October 24th, while the search committee for the College of Education, chaired by Dean John Hird, will begin bringing in finalists the week of October 31st.  The search committee for CICS, co-chaired by Deans Mark Fuller and John McCarthy, will be brining finalists to campus in early December.

    Co-Chairs, Deans Marjorie Aelion and Tim Anderson, along with the search committee for the Dean of the College of Natural Sciences, will be bringing the first two finalists to campus.  The first finalist, William Baker Tolman, Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Center for Metals in Biocatalysis, at the University of Minnesota, will give a presentation to the campus community on Tuesday, October 25th at 4:30pm at LSL S330.  The second finalist, Elizabeth (Betsy) Dumont, Senior Vice Pro

    The search committee for the Continuing and Professional Education Vice Provost has identified Geraldine de Berly, Ph.D., Senior Associate Dean, University College, Syracuse University, as a finalist.  Geraldine will give a presentation to the campus community, Wednesday, May 11th from 11:00am-12noon in Campus Center 905-09, and will be available for questions.

    The search committee for the Continuing & Professional Education Vice Provost has identified Barbara Vacarr, Ph.D., Director, Higher Education Initiative, Encore, as a finalist.  Barbara will give a presentation to the campus community, Monday, May 9th from 11:00am-12noon in Campus Center 911-15, and will be available for questions.  She will discuss "the challenges/opportunities of Continuing & Professional Education and how her background has prepared her to meet them."

    The search committee is chaired by Stephen Cavanagh, Dean of the College of Nursing.
