Vendor Bid Information and Instructions

Request for Bids

Request for Bids (RFB’s) are posted to the Procurement web site to allow all interested and qualified vendors the opportunity to review and submit a bid response. All bids are posted in PDF format.

To view and print documents, click on the specific bid number listed in column titled “RFB#. If you have any problems accessing a document, please e-mail the person listed as the contact person.

Vendors are encouraged to review all of the Terms & Conditions listed in the RFB prior to submitting their response. RFB’s may list mandatory pre-bid meetings, list opportunities to submit questions prior to a predetermined deadline, or other terms specific to the RFB. It is the responsibility of the vendor to familiarize themselves with the requirements of the RFB.

The documents on this website are the official source of information on all bids for the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Documents attained from other sources will not be recognized during the bid and award process. Vendor’s relying on documents obtained from sources other than this website do so at their own risk and may result in the rejection of an individual’s bid.

GENERAL PROCEDURES

All RFB’s will contain instructions and forms specific to the RFB that should be completed and returned to the Procurement Department prior to the bid opening date. Verbal agreements or instructions from any source are not authorized. All bids list a date and time that the responses are due by. There is also a location that the bids must be received at. Bid responses must be received in the Procurement office by the due date and time specified. Please note that these dates and locations are critical since bids received after the deadline or at other locations will be rejected.

Responses can generally be faxed, mailed or hand delivered. (See bid document for special restrictions.) Once a bid has been awarded the name of the successful vendor will be posted to our website for a minimum of 30 days.

Awarded Bids

Please see the information below that lists all RFB’s that have been opened and awarded within the last 60 days. Awards beyond the 60 day limit can be reviewed by contacting the Procurement Department by calling 413.545.0361 and requesting an appointment to review the RFB.

If you have any questions on a specific award, please e-mail the contact person listed below. The contact person will research your questions and respond in a timely manner.
