Each Early Childhood Laboratory classroom is staffed with two experienced preschool teachers along with a team of student teachers. The student teachers are University students enrolled in the Pre K-3rd grade certification program. They are required to fulfill two final student teaching practicum in the Early Childhood Curriculum: one at the preschool level and one at the elementary level (Kindergarten-3rd grade).

• There is a high teacher to child ratio in each classroom.
  
• Pre- and post-session meetings provide teachers an in-depth time to plan and reflect on daily experiences with the children.
  
• Student teachers are assigned two to three children with whom they work very closely. Teachers visit with these children in their homes at the beginning of each semester and conference with parents at the close of each semester.
