Mission Statement

The UMass Pre-Law Advising Office provides comprehensive, high-quality advising services to students and graduates interested in pursuing legal careers. Our mission is to ensure that UMass alumni who go on to law school become happy and successful lawyers. To that end, we offer a range of services to enhance students' applications, from options-counseling regarding whether and where to attend school through assistance with the application process, including LSAT preparation. We also sponsor a variety of law-related events to educate students about the practice of law. Finally, we are establishing internship and mentoring programs to network UMass lawyer-alumni with current pre-law students.
