Staff

The Director of Pre-Law Advising is Diane Curtis.  Diane practiced law for 10 years in New York City and Springfield, Massachusetts. She has been a Pre-Law Advisor since 2004 and is a member of the Northeast Association of Pre-Law Advisors.

Diane is a lecturer in Political Science at UMass, and was previously an Assistant Professor of Legal Studies at Bay Path College. She has served as an adjunct instructor at the law schools of Western New England College and the University of Connecticut.

Diane received both her B.A. in Comparative Literature and her J.D. from New York University.

The UMass Amherst Pre-Law Advising Office is in 122 Thompson on the first floor of Thompson Tower, to the left of the elevators. If you are dropping off materials when the office is closed, please place items in Diane Curtis' mailbox in 312 Thompson (on the third floor).
