The Morphometrics Lab (W16) maintains collections of primate and non-primate skeletal material, dental molds, and hominid casts. These collections are used in research projects and are available for teaching purposes. The skeletal material consists mostly of captive animals donated from zoos and research institutions. The collections feature a wide variety of primates and other small mammals. The extensive dental collection features over 1575 primate dental molds. The vast majority of this collection is composed of dental molds of Malagasy Lemurs. The hominid cast collection consists cranial and post-cranial elements of a variety of hominin species. The collection features casts of a number of key finds such as "Lucy" (a nearly complete skeleton of Australopithecus afarensis).
