News: Anthropology is featured on the UMASS homepage! A recent article about Dr. Laurie Godfrey's research with the subfossil lemur Hadropithecus was posted Nov 14th on the UMASS website. Check out the article on the News & Info page!

A big congratualtions goes out to Dr. Lynnette Leidy Sievert, who was honored with a Vasomotor Symptoms Research Award at the meetings of the North American Menopause Society! The award recognizes the achievement of "an individual whose research has made a significant contribution toward increasing the understanding of menopause-related vasomotor symptoms [hot flashes and night sweats]."

Dr. Laurie Godfrey is honored at fall Faculty Convocation. Laurie was one of seven distinguished faculty selected from across the entire UMASS campus for this distinction!!!!

Congratulations also go out to Dr. Laurie Godfrey who was recently awarded a fellowship from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation!!!! According to the foundation, fellowships are granted to individuals who have a distinguished record of scholarly achievement and show exceptional promise to accomplish great things in the future!!!!
