I am interested primarily in puzzles in normative ethics, axiology and metaethics.  I'd like to know what the correct normative ethical theory is, and I'd also like to know what the best way to formulate an emotivist/expressivist theory is, so I'd know for sure what's wrong with it.

Although I'm not currently a hedonist, I find that I like hedonism more now than I did last year.  Since coming to UMass, I have also learned to love epistemology and the philosophy of mind.
