Jim Binkoski

I am most interested in math, physics, and metaphysics.  Since coming to UMass, I have written papers on mathematical applicability; realism versus nominalism in the philosophy of mathematics; relationalism, substantivalism, and the geometry of spacetime; laws, symmetry, and spacetime; scientific explanation; the indispensability argument; and counterfactual analyses of causation.
