Biographical Statement

Christine graduated in 2017 with a double major in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry. She did her honors thesis research on the development of an X-ray compatible microfluidic platform to enable on-chip protein activity assays for protein crystallography. Christine is interested in the use of novel tools such as various microfluidic platforms to study biological components such as proteins or diseased cells. In her free time, Christine enjoys reading books, hiking, and competing for the UMass Track and Cross Country teams.

After graduation, Christine worked for several years at Shire Pharmaceuticals. She is now a PhD student in Biological Engineering at MIT, working in Prof. Doug Lauffenberger's lab.
