Join us for a panel on the state of racial justice activism around reproductive rights since the 2016 Presidential election. This presentation will bring together scholars, activists, and community members invested in public engagement to hear from renowned reproductive justice activist and co-founder of SisterSong, Loretta Ross, and public scholar, Rickie Solinger. Ross and Solinger will share their insights on successful partnerships between scholars and activists and discuss the complexities and importance of collaborative work in the context of the current contentious political landscape.
Science and Engineering Faculty, amplify the impact of your science by learning how to e ectively communicate about your research with the general public. Hear from former PEP Faculty Fellows Julie Brigham-Grette and Erin Baker about successes and challenges disseminating their research to the media, interest groups, and the general public. PEP Steering Committe Member Jennifer Ross will facilitate a discussion on lessons learned and strategies for preparing a successful application for the Spring 2018 Fellowship.
