Outreach and Public Engagement Summit for Grad Students

A collaboration between the Office of Professional Development and a team of graduate students, the Summit will involve a panel (from 1:30 - 2:30pm) of non-UMass affiliated professionals who will speak about outreach and public engagement ("OPE") opportunities. Following the panel, there will be an OPE Idea and Resource Exhibition. The goals of the Summit are to 1) promote outreach as a professional pathway, 2) connect students with outreach opportunities for the purposes of improving communication skills and grant competitiveness, and 3) strengthen collaboration and capacity among outreach organizations and individuals.
