Over the past ten years, the Public Engagement Project (PEP) at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst has worked to expand the engagement of scholars within many spheres outside the academy. Through campus-wide programming, faculty fellowships, and networking opportunities, PEP has helped faculty develop skills and capacities they need to inform public policy, enrich public debate, and contribute to the public good. Please join us as we celebrate PEP's 10th anniversary, including reflections on its past and visions for its future. The event will include opening remarks from Steve Goodwin, Deputy Chancellor and John Hird, Dean of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and will culminate with an invited lecture by Dr. Theda Skocpol, Victor S. Thomas Professor of Government and Sociology at Harvard University and Director of the Scholars Strategy Network. Refreshments will be provided. Please RSVP here.
