Wednesday, March 28, 2012   5:00 - 6:30 pm

758 North Pleasant St.  Amherst, MA

Join us in commemorating the opening of The Rescuers Project exhibit at UMass Amherst. This unique exhibit features photographs and testimonials from around the world that highlight the remarkable stories of ordinary people, who, at great risk to themselves, have intervened to protect and save members of targeted groups during violent conflict. The exhibit will be on display from March 28 until April 12 at the UMass Institute for Holocaust, Genocide and Memory Studies.

Featured Speakers:

  • Leora Kahn, Executive Director, PROOF: Media for Social Justice
  • Olivia Dreier, Executive Director, Karuna Center for Peacebuilding
  • Linda Tropp, Psychology of Peace and Violence Program, UMass Amherst
  • James Young, Director, Institute for Holocaust, Genocide and Memory Studies, UMass Amherst

Special thanks to our co-sponsors: Center for Communication and Sustainable Social Change, Department of Communication, Five College African Studies Council, and UMass STAND.
