How Your Gift Will Help [1]

Supporting our students is the best way to champion our program. Students who complete our program will be shaping conflict-resolution and peace-building strategies in the future—and we want them to have the knowledge and experience they will need to be successful in those endeavors. Aid for our graduate students allows them to concentrate on pursuing their studies, gain internship experiences, and conduct on-site research. Please lend your support to our students and to promoting peace and decreasing violence in the world today and tomorrow.

SCHOLARSHIPS

A scholarship will cover a student’s stipend and fees for an academic year, freeing the student to concentrate on coursework, research, and professional development, including preparing papers for publication, presenting at conferences, and attending interdisciplinary seminars, workshops, and trainings in mediation and conflict resolution.

FIELD INTERNSHIP AWARDS

As part of their graduate training, our students try to complete as many internships as possible because they provide such valuable “on-the-ground” experiences. Each field internship award will help to pay for travel, housing, and living expenses during an internship with a nongovernmental or nonprofit organization or program involved in violence prevention, conflict resolution, reconciliation, or peace building.

RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

Field research provides first-hand insights that enhance the validity of students’ scholarly work on conflict and enables the students to cultivate local relationships. Research fellowships will provide graduate students with funds for travel, participant compensation, and technology needs, giving them valuable on-site experiences and opportunities to share their research findings with the communities they study and serve.
